How to Deep Clean Greasy Kitchen Tile Grout
Grout is the ultimate trap for kitchen grease, acting like a magnet for airborne cooking fats that settle and harden into a sticky, dark film. While basic floor cleaners might slide right over the top of the grime, they rarely touch the deeper layers embedded within the porous cement lines. Getting your grout back to its original color requires a combination of degreasing power and mechanical abrasion. Done well, this process doesn't just surface-clean; it draws the oil out of the grout pores, leaving the lines clean and refreshed. You aren't just wiping away dirt, you are resetting the finish of your floor or backsplash. Once the grease is gone, you'll find that daily cleaning becomes significantly easier and more effective.
- Clear the Stage First. Remove all furniture or items from the floor or counters. Use a stiff-bristle broom to sweep away loose debris and dust that would otherwise turn into mud during the cleaning process.
