How to Hang Curtains Without Drilling Holes

Curtains define a room's character, softening light and adding privacy, yet the prospect of drilling into pristine drywall stops many homeowners in their tracks. Measure Three Times, Once. Measure the inside width of your window frame to determine the span for a tension rod. If choosing adhesive brackets, measure the width across the wall above the window to ensure your rod will span the required distance.
The Bond Starts Here. Wipe the mounting area with isopropyl alcohol to remove dust, grease, or paint residue. This is the most critical step for ensuring adhesive strips hold over the long term.

Extend and Lock Tight. If using a tension rod, twist the inner pole to extend it roughly an inch wider than your window opening. Insert the rod into the window frame at an angle, then push it straight until it locks into place.
Gentle Glide, Perfect Pleats. Slide your curtains onto the rod before placing the rod into the brackets or locking it into the frame. Once the rod is seated, adjust the curtain spacing for even, consistent pleats.
