Everyone knows how to do something. I’m building the place they write it down.
From the founder
I started The HowTo Network on a simple, slightly stubborn idea: the best how-to for anything is written by the person who actually did the thing.
Not an algorithm that scraped the internet and called it knowledge. Not a content farm. A real place, built for the plumber who knows the one fitting nobody else thinks to use, the dad who just fixed his own faucet for the first time, the grandmother making the dish exactly the way her mother made it. All of that knowledge is real, and almost none of it is written down anywhere that feels like them.
So I’m building the place for it to live — one edition, one Saturday, one honest guide at a time. I build fast, I write my own copy, and I care more about whether something is true and useful than whether it’s polished. Home Edition is where I keep my own hands dirty.

That You Never Noticed
My father fixed things — before I ever noticed they were broken. On invisible competence, and the conversation worth more than any gift.
